GET TO KNOW ME
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 15 plus years of direct clinical practice in treating Mood Disorders, Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, and Complex Bereavement.
My integrative treatment approach honors the mind, body, soul connection. Understanding the connection between your mind, body, and emotions is an integral part of our work together. Knowing how our bodies physiologically respond to our feelings or circumstances can begin to change our response to ourselves and the challenge or circumstance we seek to resolve.
I have a great passion for working with and supporting individuals that have been impacted by traumatic events, relationship traumas, and attachment ruptures. I also have extensive specialized training and experience in treating psychological health issues that are unique to our Military families, including psychological distress due to operational/ combat trauma exposure, military sexual assault, extended geographical separation from the support system, marital and parenting disruption due to deployment / operational demands, and, post-deployment and end of service readjustment issues.
I collaborate with each of my clients to formulate a treatment plan based on their strengths, styles, and current needs using a wide range of psychotherapy modalities, including Mindful Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive processing therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), DBT skills, Emotional Freedom Techniques ( EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ( EMDR). My versatile training allows me to address an array of conditions from multiple perspectives and base my treatment on the client's needs rather than on one particular model.
My great hope is that each of my clients will walk away from this experience with insight, self-empowerment, and tangible tools to help make healthy changes towards a more fulfilling life.
I genuinely believe in the system’s ability to self-heal and only see myself as your guide back to your best self!!
